Mother's Day Podcast

This podcast is dedicated to all mothers - stepmothers, foster mothers, birth mothers, and the women who have a motherly role in your life. Armed with a microphone and a Hi-MD recorder, I went around the city  of Rome today and surfed the blogosphere to find some kababayans and asked them to tell me something about their nanays.

The following are my guests for this Mother’s Day special edition podcast:

1. Sophia – whose mother was voted Mother of the Year in 1994. She recalled a painful experience about her mom
2. Jonathan – who grew up in the Philippines away from his mother, who worked in Italy. He has a good advice for children of migrant mothers
3. Sr. Gloria – who told her mother to jump from the motorcycle she was driving. If you were her mother would you give her a second chance?
4. Margiry – who, like many other children, was forced by her mother to join singing contests, beauty pageants, dance competitions, etc.
5. Lorenzo – an Italian. But you don’t need an interpreter to understand what he’d say
6. Fr. Fil – who described the tenderness of her mother as if he was describing the tenderness of God
7. John Clark – a Filipino based in the U.S. who sent me a voicemail tribute to her loving mother. If you cannot listen to my podcast, at least read his open letter to his mom
